SchoolData Solutions Merges With Munetrix; School Transportation Platform Acquired
Student information system providers SchoolData Solutions and Munetrix will merge, the companies announced.
Munetrix, which was acquired by private equity firm Essex Bay Capital in November 2022, is based in Novi, Michigan, and provides K-12 districts a student information system with academic, financial and early warning modules.
Spokane-based SchoolData Solutions’ offerings include a student information system that helps districts manage academic data and indicates students at risk. It also offers modules to manage human resources, individualized education plans, and career and technical education planning.
Both organizations will maintain their individual brands and platforms.
The merger “is a huge step forward for both companies,” SchoolData Solutions President Joe Tansy said in a statement. “By coming together, we can offer schools even better tools to make smarter decisions that really impact students.”

Transit Technologies acquires student transportation management software company. Transportation software company Transit Technologies acquired Bytecurve, a platform for managing K-12 busing.
The acquisition will allow Transit Technologies, based in Knoxville, Tenn., to add student transportation to its slate of product focus areas, the company said.
Transit Technologies currently provides services to the public transit, health transit, and private transit markets, offering customers the ability to manage fixed routes, payments, vehicle maintenance, electric and autonomous vehicles, paratransit operations, and reporting and analytics.
Bytecurve’s platform is solely focused on K-12 school bus operations, and it offers districts a way to oversee bus routes, GPS tracking, scheduling and dispatch, payroll, time clocks, and driver communications.
“By integrating Bytecurve’s advanced platform, we continue to set new benchmarks for what software can accomplish for student mobility, safety, and efficiency,” Transit Technologies CEO Gerry Leonard said in a statement.
GP Singh, Bytecurve’s CEO and founder, said in a statement that the deal will allow “Bytecurve to bring their innovative platform and service to the broader transportation industry.”
