We are recruiting a Development and Test Engineer to work closely with engineers, technicians and customers to design, build, and execute testing for electro-mechanical and electrified powertrain systems of all kinds. Equally at home getting your hands dirty and applying analytical skills, you will find fulfilment in bridging that traditional gap while working with some of the most innovative people, companies, and cultures today.
What you will need
You will have:
- Experience in software-defined test systems for powertrain components
- Knowledge of data acquisition principles and instrumentation techniques
- Familiarity with automotive communications protocols
- Experience in mechanical design for test systems – fixturing and tooling principles
- Experience commissioning test cells
- Familiarity with basic CAD concepts, including tolerancing and GD&T
- Comfort working with power tools and basic fabrication tools
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or engineering technology
Desirable:
- Experience in LabVIEW and/or Veristand programming and test systems
- Experience in NVH and/or rotating machine dynamics
- Experience in electrical machine testing and acquisition, including power analyzers

Key Responsibilities
You will be:
- Developing and executing test plans on a variety of test cells and types to gather data, analyze results and solve engineering problems,
- Maintaining and improving test cell controls, instrumentation and processes to improve overall efficiency and quality,
- Commissioning test cell mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and software systems,
- Reviewing and analyzing data from tests for presentation to the customer and finding solutions to issues,
- Supporting business development activities to build credible proposals for development and test projects,
- Constantly evaluating DSD processes for improvements and taking the initiative to drive changes that benefit our company and customers,
- Responsible for executing individual projects including delivering on-time and on-budget test plans and interfacing with external customers as part of project management deliverables,
